Life is not lived in what’s past or what’s future; life is lived in this moment.
Reunions transport our minds back to certain times and places. Past memories, emotions, smells, tastes, sensations, relationships, all resurface.
Reconnecting with friends and family is important. These relationships from where we were grounded and rooted are our bedrock and make us who we are. Revisiting ‘old times’ and places help us to understand how much we have grown or how little. They can retread the path we have traveled, but also reveal the path or paths are coming before us.
After we step back into our present with this grounding, this nostalgia, we can see more clearly who we are in this moment.
